THE STORY

Clay allows me to feel as I make. It is a mindful process where I am in tune with my surroundings, which enables me to absorb and react to my thoughts. This allows for soft nuances and organic movement to be integrated with the more rigid forms found in interior spaces. These pieces can can be placed as sculptural objects or treated as functional pieces of art. I created the collection of candleholders, vases, and lighting as a way to incorporate thoughtfulness into the everyday life.

The overall form is the focus. Thus, there are no additional topological treatments and the natural texture is allowed to come through. Every ceramic piece is designed by me and is made by hand.

I am an architectural designer and sculptor based in New York City. I received my Bachelor of Science in Architecture at the University of Minnesota and my Master of Architecture at Pratt Institute.
